AN ORDINANCE REGARDING THE MANAGEMENT OF THE CAT POPULATION WITHIN THE VILLAGE OF SHREVE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF SHREVE, COUNTY OF WAYNE, STATE OF OHIO TO PROMOTE THE GENERAL WELFARE AND THE SAFETY OF THE RESIDENTS OF THE VILLAGE:
SECTION 1. Definitions. As used in this Ordinance, a "Community Cat" shall mean a cat that is abandoned, stray, lost or feral and that may be cared for by The Shreve,
Ohio TNR Program. "Community Cat Care Giver" shall mean a person(s) who is approved by The Shreve, Ohio TNR Program and who provides care, including, but not limited to, food, shelter, or medical care to a Community Cat. Such Community Cat Care Giver shall not be deemed as an owner, keeper, or harborer of a Community Cat.
"TNR" means Trap-Neuter-Return and is the process of humanely trapping and sterilizing; vaccinating for rabies and distemper; and returning a Community Cat to the original location in which it was found.
